I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 27 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges — and let’s be honest, life can get pretty complicated sometimes. I’ve worked with adolescents, young adults, and adults in a variety of settings, supporting clients through concerns related to anxiety, depression, stress, work–life balance, relationships, self-esteem, and substance use.
Licensed in both Virginia and Washington, D.C., I provide counseling to clients across both regions. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and client-centered because I truly believe you are the expert on your own life. Therapy with me is a space where you can be real, feel supported, and work toward meaningful change without judgment.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, while also incorporating wellness strategies such as movement, exercise, and practical coping tools to support overall mental health. I believe therapy does not always have to feel heavy all the time — humor, laughter, and authenticity can be incredibly healing too. When appropriate, I incorporate humor into sessions to help create comfort, connection, perspective, and balance throughout the therapeutic process.
My goal is to help clients build insight, resilience, healthier relationships, and practical tools they can actually use in everyday life. Together, we can work toward creating a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with who you want to be.
