Kathy Dodson
LCSW

Greetings. I understand how big of a step it can be to seek therapy support, so let me tell you how I can help. I provide telehealth therapy tailored to your needs. This can be with a goal to solve a current problem or to overcome a persisting barrier. I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals of all ages struggling with both mental health and substance abuse challenges. As your therapist, I will always practice with a trauma informed approach. Many of our unwanted behaviors/thoughts are coping skills that served us in the past. Learning how to let go of those behaviors/thoughts and becoming the healthiest versions of ourselves is what I will help you do. The treatment interventions that I provide typically include Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Addictions Counseling, Attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), and Strength-Based. I am currently working with individuals 19+ years old. I do not provide couples or family therapy at this time. I encourage you to contact me with any questions you may have about therapy, or getting started, or about me. This is an important step you are taking, and I am proud of you. Take care and be well.
